Review the PowerPoint presentation (steps/”Journey to Wholeness” Slide). Use headings of the steps from Hero’s Journey. Example The Call; Crossing the Threshold; The Abyss, etc.
a) The Call/Departure: an awareness that something in life has to change, or an event has happened, now one must handle the outcome (i.e., loss of job, relationship, death of a family member, friend)

b)Preparation: begins with self-examination (honest of situation), confrontation with strong emotions (fear, resentment, anger)

c)Initiation: awareness of synchronistic life events, becoming physically/mental conversion experiences. Stepping over the ‘threshold.’

d)Obstacles/Temptations: a series of tests, tasks, or ordeals that the HERO must undergo to begin transformation

e)The Abyss: Greatest challenge, lowest point of the journey where one must “slay the dragon”

f)Transformation: concurrent feelings of elation and confusion/depression, new awareness, visions, entrance into a new and unfamiliar space

g)The Return: coming back to the world of the living, carry the new learning into a familiar/unfamiliar network of family, friends community, walk a new path.
